Turquoise and Silver Elastic Bracelet
This beautiful bracelet was made in honor of my sister. She passed away January 26, 2019 at the age of 59. This was the day before her daughter’s 25th birthday.
Diane had developed a rare skin condition called Pyroderma Gangrenosum. It starts with small cuts or a rash and can develop into an open wound that is very painful to the one with this condition. There is no treatment. Daily dressing changes that are extremely painful.
One of the underlying causes is Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). Diane had RA.
Per bracelet sale, I am donating $5.90, from her age of 59, to RA research. Last year I donated almost $150 to the foundation.
The design is based on her love of turquoise and silver. The heart was actually an accent she wanted me to use on a bracelet she asked me to make her. I didn’t get the piece before she passed away. So, this is more of her last design. The feather is in honor of her Native American Heritage.
